About The Event

The COVID-19 Pandemic is having a tremendous impact on services to individuals with disabilities. Federal and state funders are acting to allow flexibility and innovation in how services continue to be delivered as individuals isolate at home. Attending this webinar will help you answer the following questions:

· What can we do right now to help combat the challenges that individuals with disabilities, their families, and their in-home support providers are facing?

· What are the opportunities for providers to deliver services that address individuals that were seeking or working in competitive integrated employment before COVID-19?

· Are there other opportunities to engage people staying at home who hadn't yet decided to pursue competitive integrated employment before COVID-19?

Presenter: Dr. Lisa Mills - A consultant in the field of disability for 30 years with a primary focus on community services. Lisa’s passion for Employment First, Supported Employment and Customized Employment started more than twenty years ago when she was an employer of individuals with disabilities at both an Independent Living Center and People First Wisconsin. Dr. Mills is currently a consultant on Employment First, Customized Employment, the HCBS Settings Rule and WIOA, working with state Medicaid and VR agencies, managed care organizations and providers of home and community-based services.  She serves as a subject matter expert for the US Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy and the LEAD Center.
