DHS reopening its program offering CARES Act Provider Payments (CAPP) in mid-July

The Wisconsin Department of Human Services (DHS) will be reopening the CAPP program for a second round of applications. A future round of payments will be available for providers to cover losses and expenses for March through August. • Future applications will allow providers to submit COVID-19-related costs for not only March, April, and May, but also for June, July and August.

  • The types of providers eligible for the program will remain the same.

  • Payments for first round applications received by June 30th will be paid in the next two weeks.

  • Providers who have already applied for CAPP and have received or will receive funding will remain eligible for payments in the next round.

DHS will be releasing additional details related to the extension as soon as possible. To stay up to date on all CAPP developments, please sign up for the CAPP email list or visit the CAPP webpage on the DHS website. Any questions can be emailed to the CAPP mailbox at DHSDMSDCPP@dhs.wisconsin.gov.
